The Comix stage will rock on April 24th at 8:00 PM when Comix shines its spotlight on TastiSkank. TastiSkank is a guilty pleasure, and let’s face it New Yorkers love guilty pleasures.
The Comix Spotlight is designed to introduce a special talent to an audience that otherwise may not get the opportunity to see or know about them. Performers will be established veterans of the comedy scene or the brightest emerging talent. This installment features Tastiskank. Billed as “The Smokin’ Love Child of the Indigo Girls and Tenacious D, clad in pink high heels, miniskirts, and wife beaters,” they sing self-penned songs like “We Don’t Do Threesomes” and “I Heart Dirty Boys with No Money.”
On Broadway, they’re angels – Glinda the good witch of Wicked, and Belle of Beauty and the Beast. No wonder Kate Reinders and Sarah Litzsinger like to blow off a little steam now and then and act, well, slutty.
