201 E. Randolph Street
Chicago, Illinois

Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Millennium Park, Music Without Borders expands this year to eight double-bill concerts June 3 through July 22. In its fifth year, the wildy popular free international music series features traditional folk and pop artists from around the globe.

Two Chicago premieres close out the series. Accompanied by an 8 button accordion, Brazil's Renato Borghetti plays traditional gaúcho music, along with jazz and classical styles mixed with milonga, chamamé, vanerão, tango, baião and samba. Israeli pianist and bayan (button accordion) player, Boris Malkovsky, takes the stage as he blends traditional Jewish themes and jazz improvisation with Gypsy and classical.

Additional support for this concert has been provided by the Consulate General of Brazil in Chicago and the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest.
