Music on the Mac (Macworld On Sound) is a 1 hour music session, presented by Sam Downie, a musician, music remixer and music producer from Bristol, UK - who has worked with the best including:

Massive Attack, Portishead, Roni Size, Jazz Jamaica, The Jazz Warriors

Sam's been a Apple Computer Solution Expert in Pro Audio and Mac OSX for quite a few years now, and now offers his knowledge, expertise and specialism in Music Technology. Currently Sam's a freelance educator, working with Access-to-Music in the UK.

In this session, find out about how Sam became a Mac User and how he uses GarageBand and Logic Pro 8 in his recent productions. See how Sam used Logic Studio (the latest update to Apple Pro Line of Music Applications) in a remix of a track called Something About The Way, by UK Soul production team Terabeats feat James Collins on Vocals, find out how this remix was put together, and take away tips on how to do a remix of your own!
