The Cleveland Public Library Fine Arts Department is proud to present The Abelia Trio in its Music at Main series on Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 12:30-1:30 in a special weekday lunch hour recital on the 3rd floor of Main Library. The Trio is comprised of Geralyn Giovannetti (oboe), Denise Root Pierce (French horn), and David Palmer (piano) and will be performing music of Basler, Blanc, Damase, Kahn, Koetsier, and Molbe. All three musicians perform extensively throughout Canada and the United States. Giovannetti is Professor of Oboe at Brigham Young University and also is a member of the Essex Winds, Orpheus Winds, and the Sundance Trio. Pierce has performed in various orchestras and currently is a member of the Essex Winds, Galliard Brass and the Eastern Winds. Palmer has a well-established career as a collaborative pianist and an organist and is especially known for his expertise in the works of Olivier Messiaen.
