Muktadhara III: A Forum Theatre festival December 1, 2008

Jana Sanskriti, the first group in India to practise ‘Theatre of the Oppressed – conceptualised by by Augusto Boal in Brazil’ a form of theatre in which the oppressed speak, act and express their social and political will. With this form of theatre – now practised in many countries – it is possible to build up a culture based on humanism, and equip people to fight against oppression. Teams from France, Nepal, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tripura and other workshop participants will be performing at this festival. In additin there will be folk performances as well.
