The House of Blues gets religion and a side o' bacon.Feeling hungry? Go to the House of Blues on Sunday for their Gospel Brunch and have your body and spirit filled up.

What does a Yankee boy know about gospel brunches? Well, to be honest, not a heck of a lot. What I do know is that I like good gospel music and delicious Southern food. Besides, I'm pretty sure good music and good food are a combination that most everyone can agree on. No matter what denomination or part of the country you're from...Yeah, I'm that bold. Need a little appetite whettin'? Chew on this: cornbread muffins with maple butter, hickory-smoked bacon and sausage links, homemade biscuits and country gravy, shrimp jambalaya, prime rib and homemade fruit cobbler. They even have an omelet station. Oh, glorious eggs.

The HOB hosts a Gospel Brunch every Sunday. Seatings are at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. For reservations, call 214-978-BLUE. "Praise the Lord and pass the biscuits," as they say down here. At least I've heard that's what they say, but then again, what does a Yankee know?
