Formed in Florida, Morbid Angel helped spearhead a death metal movement in the late '80s. After a performance and recording hiatus throughout a good portion of the 2000s, Morbid Angel returned to the stage and studio in 2010 and 2011, recording and releasing their eighth and latest studio album, 'Illud Divinum Insanus,' in June 2011. Decibel Magazine rated guitarist Trey Azagthoth as the number one "death metal guitarist ever".
