Moraga Juniors 'Through the Garden Gate' Garden Tour May 3, 2008

The Moraga Junior Women's Club will host its fifth annual Lamorinda "Through the Garden Gate" garden tour on Saturday, May 3, with all proceeds split between the Lamorinda Senior Transportation Program which takes local seniors and disabled individuals to social programs, shopping and medical commitments around the community at very low cost and the Contra Costa County-based We Care Services for Children which provides comprehensive early intervention and child development services for special needs children ages birth to six. This year Moraga Juniors have set a garden tour fundraising goal of $30,000.

The garden tour will showcase six Lamorinda gardens-- three in Orinda, two in Moraga and one in Lafayette -- which feature such outstanding garden elements as outdoor kitchens, stunning swimming pools and waterfalls, unique recreation and play areas and even a small vineyard.

Tickets are $30 and will be for sale at Ace Hardware and "Across the Way" in Moraga, McDonnell Nursery in Orinda and Orchard Nursery in Lafayette as well as by mail through the Moraga Juniors. A catered lunch can be pre-ordered for $10.

This is the fifth annual garden tour sponsored by the Moraga Juniors Women's Club and it is the organization's largest fundraiser. All of the proceeds are donated to the designated family-oriented charities. The local gardens for the tour are selected for their unique and creative features. Tickets for the garden tour are available for $30 (with lunch for sale for $10) and can be purchased at Ace Hardware and "Across the Way" in Moraga, Orchard Nursery in Lafayette and McDonnell Nursery in Orinda or through the Moraga Junior Women's Club, PO Box 462, Moraga, CA 94556.
