Forum for Green Ideas:
Sustainable Sandhills Moore County Community Action Team

Moore County community members are invited to share their green ideas at the next Sustainable Sandhills Moore County Community Action Team on Tuesday, May 19. This fun community meeting will take place at Sandhills Community College, Dempsey Student Center, Clement Dining Hall at 3395 Airport Rd in Pinehurst, NC.‎

Sustainable Sandhills Community Action Team meetings are a forum for people with green ideas to form networks, identify projects and take positive action to improve their communities. Current projects include: greening local schools, creating new trails for recreation, weatherizing low income housing, recycling, urban farming and more! The tentative topics for this meeting are:
• Sustainable Sandhills Urban Farm Tour report
• New community trails project discussion
• Recycling update
• “An Ode to Longleaf,” presentation by Save our Sandhills
• Sustainable Film Series announcement: June 18 at Sandhills Community College
