Join us for a wonderful evening of singing, community, and fun with Mirabai and friends. Kirtan, Sanskrit chanting, is another branch of Yoga called Bhakti, the yoga of devotion. In Kirtan, you chant mantras as a means of invoking the qualities of various deities to empower your life. There is no singing or Kirtan experience necessary, and best of all, it is an open and safe environment to sing and be free in a light and positive way.

The Kirtans will be led by Mirabai, who leads them in various other yoga studios and centers in the Bay Area. She uniquely blends Indian Sanskrit chants with her own Western-fusion melodies on guitar. Joining her is PJ on tamboura, Lyman on tablas, and other guest musicians will join in.

COST: $8, no one turned away due to lack of funds.

A portion of the funds will be donated to Friends of the Forest to help plant more trees in our city.
