TOPIC: “Volunteer Vacations” with Stacy Ashton, Executive Director, Community Volunteer Connections

DESCRIPTION: You love to travel, and you want to make a positive difference in the world. You are not the first person to think about combining the two! Learn how to connect to volunteer opportunities abroad and the issues to consider as you decide how and where you want to volunteer.

SPEAKER: Stacy Ashton has served as the Executive Director of Community Volunteer Connections, a volunteer centre in the Coquitlam area, for over five years. She is an active volunteer in her community of New Westminster, indulging her passion for animals in her work with the Royal City Humane Society. Stacy has travelled widely, from Mexico, to Thailand, to Africa, and finds that volunteering is universal. For more information www.volunteerconnections.net
