A recently restored viola d'amore makes its modern debut in this concert. Originating in Augsburg, Germany, and dating back to 1730, this Georg Aman-made Baroque period instrument has been in the Juilliard Historic Instrument Collection for nearly two decades, and in repair for the majority of the 2012-2013 season. Now fully restored, Juilliard Historical Performance student Laura Rubinstein-Salzedo has been selected via audition to unveil the instrument in concert
