Does capitalism promote greed? Can a person follow Jesus's call to love others and also support capitalism? Was our recent economic crisis caused by flaws inherent to our free market system? Jay Richards presents a new approach to capitalism, revealing how it's fully consistent with the Christian tradition, while also showing why this system is our best bet for renewed economic vigor.

The church is bombarded with two competing messages about money and capitalism. The first message is that wealth is bad and causes much of the world's suffering; the second is that wealth is good and God wants you to prosper and be rich.

Richards exposes these myths and other common misconceptions about capitalism, and reveals the surprising ways that capitalism is, in fact, the best system to respond to the biblical mandates of alleviating poverty and protecting the environment. Money, Greed, and God equips readers to take practical steps in their own lives to conduct business, worship God, and serve others without falling into the "prosperity gospel" trap.

I too agree, capitalism has been given a bad reputation. I mean without the 'GREED", for lack of a better term, that supports business in general, I ask you, where exactly would the United States of America's capatilistic interests be? We are big supporters of various middle eastern wars, whatever best suits our current political agenda. I say we NEED to just leave the Middle East to its own devices, and obide by the laws instituted by our North American forefathers, upon the creation of a land of the people, by the people, and for the American people.

Which GOD? Certainly NOT Jehovah, nor Allah, GROW UP PEOPLE, leave FAIRYTALES to children. I need to WORK so as I can move INDEPENDENTLY leastwise back to Romeoville, then hopefully Bolingbrook, then I've always DREAMED of MOVING BACK to the place of my birth on December 29 1972 of the Cenozoic geological Era.(c.e.) Naperville IL 60565, but realestate there is pricey. I'll just bide my LONELY, POOR time until I can find a well enough paying job again that might see my INDEPENDENT move leastwise to Romeoville IL. - Mr.Michael Shane Becker, D.O.B. 12/29/1972
