Inspired by his gardens at Giverny, French Impressionist Claude Monet (1840-1926) painted approximately 250 oil paintings in his 'Water Lilies' series. Three of the series' works were painted as a set, or triptych, that stretches 42 feet. Monet's 'Water Lilies' brings the three works together for the first time in more than 30 years. From left to right, the triptych's three sections are held in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Saint Louis Art Museum and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
