The Soul Is Concert Series will kick off October 3, 2008 with National Recording artists Choklate and Darrius Willrich performing live in concert at Prince George's Publick Playhouse For The Performing Arts. Choklate who was a 2007 AGAPE Female R&B/Soul Artist Of The Year and B-Side Artists on the Michael Baisden Radio Show, will perform her R&B magic that has earned her the distinction of being Seattles hottest Neo-Soul artist. Darrius Willrich, composer, arranger, collaborator, session player and performer, is considered a cornerstone of Seattle's live music scene. With two critically acclaimed albums behind him, and a third in the pipeline, Darrius Willrich's electrifying mastery of the keyboard combined with his original style has brought much acclaim to his neo creation he calls "Sweet Urban Soul". Both artists will be backed and supported by D.C.'s own Dre King Band.The concert will be hosted by DJ YZO of Soul Conversations on WPFW 89.3FM
