Mojacar Flamenco at the Coffee Gallery Backstage August 28, 2009

Join the phenomenal Mojácar Flamenco at the Coffee Gallery Backstage on August 28 at 8:00pm for some sizzling hot Flamenco, Latin and Jazz music and dance, featuring guitar virtuoso Stephen Dick and dance dynamo Katerina Tomas. This intimate concert setting allows the artists to perform their best, most difficult flamenco works.

Eight time winners of the prestigious Spanish Ministry of Culture grant award, both artists have also won L.A. Treasures Awards from the City of Los Angeles for their performances and research in the field of flamenco. Flamenco has taken them across the U.S. and Canada on tour, and the duo has also performed in competition and on Spanish television in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.

Mojácar Flamenco released two original albums, "Al Que Quiere," and the concert album "Mojácar at the Madrid," and their concert shows have garnered praise from all quarters, including a review from the San Diego Union that called the duet “musical and visual poetry."
