Carol Donelan is a professor of Cinema and Media Studies at Carleton College. Carol Donelan teaches courses in film history and theory, film modes and genres, directors, national cinemas and television studies. She has published articles on the politics of gender in cinema and on the implications of teaching film theory in a post-film, post-theory era. Her research interests include melodrama and the history of moviegoing and film exhibition in small towns and rural areas.
