Miss Asian American Colorado 2008 May 31, 2008

This is the first year of the exciting event, hosted by Asian Avenue magazine, in hopes of revealing the rich beauty of Asian American culture and history. The event gives mainstream society a more complete picture of Asian American cultural achievement, as it bridges the schisms found among the various cultures represented as Asian Pacific Islander Americans.

Miss Asian American Colorado exemplifies what every woman should be: empowered, intelligent, and compassionate. The 2008 winner will be a role model within and a spokesperson for the Asian American community.

These Asian American women will receive an invaluable experience that will guide them to become future leaders and role models for not only Colorado’s growing Asian community, but also young generations as a whole. The event places an emphasis on the areas of leadership, service, academics, and individuality.

These women in Colorado are given the opportunity to shine in their individuality as we challenge conventional notions of beauty, culture, and intelligence. Beauty and intelligence that radiates from within, make these Asian American women future leaders and role models for the growing Asian community in Colorado.
