Since her full-length debut, 'One on One' on Warp Records in 2000, Mira Calix has recorded abstract ambience taken from her surroundings in the most unusual way. In 2003, Mira performed Nunu, a 30-minute piece made using the sounds of insects at Geneva's Natural History Museum, also performed at the Royal Festival Hall. Eyes Set Against the Sun is her new album, creating electronic music that breathes like an orchestra, with folk music fashioned from broken beats and field recordings.

Gong Gong transcends all physical and sound boundaries. Cables and machines encircle drums, a bass guitar and a double bass, while two videomakers take their places behind the musicians, plunging them into an animated and unusual world.
