John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove presents Mill Grove Moss Hike (9-10am) Join us on our moss hike, along the trails of Mill Grove, to observe the miniature landscape of moss and to learn how it adapts, reproduces, spreads, survives and thrives on tree bark, rocks and soil. Learn why moss is often found near companion plants lichen, fungus and ferns. Magnifiers (hand lenses) will be available for close observation of this simple plant. If you are a moss maven, lichen lover, fungus fan or simply a “shady character,” join fellow enthusiasts and novices for this informative hike. Free Admission.
