In November, Lighthouse are delighted to be welcoming Mike Stubbs, Director/CEO of FACT to Brighton. FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) is the UK’s leading organisation for new media art, film, and video. They have been a major international voice in digital and media art for two decades, staging groundbreaking exhibitions, education, community and research projects at their flagship venue in Liverpool. Among their recent work is FACT TV (http://www.fact.tv), a new online television channel, showcasing film, art and creative television. Mike’s talk will be an exciting opportunity for those interested in filmmaking, broadcasting, and digital art to hear about FACT’s range of work, from FACT TV to their pioneering community broadcasting project, tenantspin, to the venue's forthcoming joint exhibition with Tate Liverpool of the work video art pioneer, Nam June Paik.
