Mike Brun's Caravan August 10, 2012

A composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, Brun has been involved in a wide range of projects over his career thus far. While living in New Orleans from 2006-2010, he played bass in a Southern Rock band and was on trumpet in a Funk/Soul ensemble; in 2011, he created a blog where he recorded and released a free track of music every twelve days for the entirety of the year. Most recently, he has been working as a sideman for Ars Nova's current artist-in-residence, Shaina Taub. When Brun performs under his own name, he refers to the rotating cast of his live ensembles as his "caravan.
