Midnattsloppet at Södermalm in Stockholm is one of Sweden´s major sporting events race and invites all the family (men, women, children) and companies to participate. In 2006 as many as 16.635 runners attended which was a record for the event.

Midnattsloppet is not one of the greatest jogging race in Sweden, but probably the biggest race when counting spectators. According to the police approximately 200,000 spectators along the route cheer the runners.

The race has always been characterized as a national and joyful event with a lot of activities during the night. The start is at 10 pm - exactly when the summer day will meet the night, with a delightful temperature both for the runner and for the spectators. The distance is 10,000 metres and it is a varied race with large boulevards as well as quiet quarters.

When running along the streets you will be surprised many times. Samba orchestras, and rock bands will help you to make your dreams come true.
