Microsoft Corp. is pleased to invite you to the third Valley Microsoft Research Road Show on Tuesday, May 2, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the company's Mountain View campus to personally experience some of the exciting innovation coming out of Microsoft's research labs.Roy Levin, Director of Microsoft Research Silicon Valley, will kick off the event by discussing some of the technology in development at Microsoft Research. Following this talk, there will be a panel discussion on the collaboration of academic and corporate research focusing on efforts to encourage young people to pursue careers in math and science. Panelists will include Bay Area researchers from both academia and corporate industry. Panelists include representatives from:Carnegie Mellon West HP Microsoft Research Berkeley UC Santa Cruz Following the presentation and panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to tour several hands-on research demonstration booths showcasing the innovative projects on which the Microsoft Research group is working in the areas of mobility, gaming, location services, search, hardware and databases.
