"Citing David Lynch, Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos, and Ben Folds as influences, Mangia is a gifted songwriter/piano-man with a penchant for experimentation. His lush piano-playing alone is enticement enough to catch one of his performances, but the main attraction is his superb song-writing. He wrestles heartfelt narratives out of pop and classical song forms, combining the wry with the provocative to charming effect. His best songs will stay in your head for days."

Michael is currently working in the studio with Engineer/Producer Tom Billet (eng. Fiona Apple, Silversun Pick-ups), with a new album slated for release at the end of 2007.
