Memphis Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Series: "Brahms: A Choral Celebration" April 8, 2006

Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 8pm. "It is a truly tremendous piece of art which moves the entire being in a way little else does," Clara Schumann wrote to Johannes Brahms in 1867. Thought to have been written in memory of both Brahms' mother and his mentor, composer Robert Schumann, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus perform this masterpiece in honor of the Chorus' 40th anniversary.
