Japanese noise rock band, Melt Banana, found more success in the United States and the United Kingdom than in its own country, gaining a small but dedicated fan base among American and European punk rock fans. Formed in rural Connecticut and starting out as a manic-paced skacore band, the group has since transformed into a much more experimental outfit that uses a framework of modern hardcore/metal to bring in such diverse influences as jazz, grind, ska, reggae, punk and anything else they can think of. Vaz's albums include 'Demonstrations in Micronesia,' 'Dying to Meet You' and 'Vazzed in a Sea of Whores.'
