Mayuko Kamio began playing the violin at age four and made her debut as a concerto soloist at age ten. At thirteen she won the 2000 Young Concert Artists auditions, and in 2003 made her New York concerto and recital debuts. In 2007 she was a winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Li Jian, equally versatile as piano soloist, chamber musician and conductor, has concertized and led orchestras throughout Asia, Europe and the U.S. His teachers included Mieczyslaw Horszowski and Jorma Panula. Since 2004 he has been artistic director for the Musicians Emergency fund.
