Celebrate the Bay Area's first World Ranger Day and Meet the Rangers! This public Open House event by the Hyde Street Pier will showcase numerous agencies in the Bay Area that employ rangers, plus partner associations, trusts, and conservancies that use volunteers for conservation work.

Rangers will demonstrate equipment they use. Various vehicles, boats, and hi-tech gear will be showcased as well as some hands-on activities for the kids.

Ranger-made Film Premiere!
In conjunction with 'Meet the Rangers', you are invited to join us as we present the San Francisco premiere of THE THIN GREEN LINE - a film by Sean Willmore, an Australian Park Ranger. Sean's journey around the globe visiting his counterparts documents a unique look into the committed and passionate fight to protect our planet. Witness the dedication of the men and women who make up the Thin Green Line - Professional Park Rangers - through their stories of danger, compassion, and protection.

Film shown at the SFMNHP Visitor's Center Theater at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6:00pm. Free, donations appreciated.
