Performance Now Theatre Company proudly presents “Meet Me in St. Louis” October 7 through 16 at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway. Meet Me in St. Louis is a musical based on "The Kensington Stories" by Sally Benson and the 1944 MGM motion picture "Meet Me in St. Louis." It tells the story of an American family living in St. Louis at the time of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition World's Fair in 1904. Their love and respect for each other is tempered with the genuine humor that can only be generated by such a special family. Memorable musical numbers include The Boy Next Door, A Raving Beauty, The Trolley Song, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and the title song, Meet Me in St. Louis.

The cast includes Amelia Morgan-Rothschild (Esther Smith), Barrett Harper (John Truitt), Eric Weinstein (Mr. Alonso Smith), Nancy Evans Begley (Mrs. Anna Smith), Drew Hirschboeck (Lon Smith), Sara Closson (Rose Smith), Chloe Nosan (Agnes Smith), Meredith Knudson (Tootie Smith), Wes Munsil (Grandpa Prophater), Karen Krause (Katie), Erik Siegling (Warren Sheffield) and Ashley Brown (Lucille Ballard). Rounding out the cast are ensemble members Lisa Andrews, Jennifer Arfsten, Dillon Colagrasso, Erin Hassell, Joanna Hickam, Jim Landis, Anna Lansdon, Tiffani Parton, Chad Patten, Jeffrey Parizotto, Josh Rigo, Matthew Satterfield and Christopher Turner.

Hugh Martin was an American musical theater and film composer, arranger, vocal coach, andplaywright. He is best known for his score for the classic 1944 MGM musical Meet Me In St. Louis, which starred Judy Garland

Ralph Blane began his career as a radio singer for NBC in the 1930s before turning to Broadway. With partner Hugh Martin, Blane penned many American standards for the stage and MGM musicals.

Hugh Callingham Wheeler was an English-born playwright, screenwriter, librettist, poet, andtranslator. He won the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical in 1973 and 1974 for his books for the musicals A Little Night Music and Candide, and won both again in 1979 for his book for Sweeney Todd.
