Meet and Greet for Toronto Entrepreneurs: TheLocalGuru.com March 2, 2006

The Local Guru is delighted to announce the first ever networking, a meet and greet for Toronto based members.

This free and casual event will take place at Sutra Lounge (612 College St) on March 2nd. The evening will feature the funky house tunes of DJ:TK, with catering courtesy of Dan Neylan. The Meet and Greet is generously sponsored by Amsterdam Brewery.

Launched in early 2005, The Local Guru is Canada's first online networking tool for communities across Canada, tailored to the self employed entrepreneur. Unlike a typical job posting site, the Local Guru aims to connect people with any viable skill from child care givers & counselors to mechanics & software developers with individuals in their area who require specialized services.

To date, there are about 600 users, mostly in the GTA and the membership keeps growing.

The Local Guru is offering premium membership packages to those who attend the event at no cost. The premium membership allows users to post their own skill descriptions, network for other skills in their area, post testimonials, and create articles about their specialties.
