A true pioneer in the industrial and electronica dance scenes, Meat Beat Manifesto features Jack Dangers and Jonny Stephens, who met in 1987 playing in the band Perennial Divide before embarking on their experimentations encompassing high-energy dub, hip-hop and noise-rock. Moving from the UK to San Francisco, the sound of MBM was free to move from the industrial base to other influences. The Israeli-born musician, composer, engineer, DJ and producer has been on the forefront of the New York underground music scene since the early '90s. His music unites acoustic instruments, often traditional drumming, with electronics. His recordings (under Badawi and Sub Dub as well as his own name) have been called "hybrid electronica/dub/percussion/avant-garde compositions."
