Mazel Tov, Mis Amigos: Jews on Vinyl Listening Party July 8, 2010

Mingle or get up and dance during this festive outdoor party exploring the Latin-Jewish audio treasures featured in Jews on Vinyl. Join the celebration of everything from Yiddish mambos to Fiddler on the Roof charangas—and learn how Tito Puente ended up playing the Catskills, how a Brooklyn Jew became known as El Judio Maravilloso, and much more. Presented in association with the Idelsohn Society for Musical Preservation. Exhibition remains open until 9:30 p.m.
