Mazda Grand Prix of Portland July 22, 2008

The Mazda Grand Prix of Portland includes three days of intense competition for fans of road racing, including a Star Mazda Doubleheader, the Mazda MX-5 Cup cars, the VW TDI Cup Series, and a variety of races including bicycles, drags, motocross, motorcycles, drifting, a time attack, three Pro series races, and the Show & Shine Car Show.
The rest of Northwest Speed Week starts on Tuesday evening with a Mazda Grand Prix bicycle race. Starting at 6:45 and racing for almost 50 miles, you can expect more than 100 top cyclists on the PIR road course. Tour de PIR! Admission is free.
Wednesday night will feature the Beaches Cruise-in and NHRA E.T. Drags. More than 100 dragsters will compete, while nearly 1,000 of the prettiest hot rods will preen on the grass. Join us for great food under the trees, a band and door prizes. Admission is only $5.
Thursday night brings more than 200 of the tops motocross racers from the Northwest to our MX track. Motos start at 7 p.m. Admission is $8.
