Sierra Club- Miami Group Announces
Mayor Carlos Alvarez to Speak to Sierra Club-Miami Group
Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez will be our esteemed guest speaker at the March 12, 2007 general meeting of the Sierra Club- Miami Group.
His presentation concerning the status of the environment and county govenrment will be held at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club at 8:30 pm following General Club Business.

This event is open and free to the public. Nonmembers are always welcome!

Doors open at 6:00 pm for Sierra Club Committee Meetings and Fellowship.

Miami Sierra Club
The Miami Sierra Club is the local group for the oldest environmental club in America. The Sierra Club was founded by the eminent John Muir in 1892.

John Muir (1838-1914) was America's most famous and influential naturalist and conservationist. He is one of California's most important historical personalities. He has been called "The Father of our National Parks,".
