Maya Deren: at Land March 6, 2011

In conjunction with 'Modern Women: Single Channel', MoMA P.S. 1 presents Maya Deren's 1944 experimental film, 'At Land'. According to Deren (American, born Ukraine; 1917-1961) this 15-minute work is a "mythological voyage of the twentieth century," in which "the problem of the individual [here played by Deren], as the sole continuous element, is to relate herself to a fluid, apparently incoherent, universe."
