Matters of the Mind Luncheon October 12, 2010

We invite you to join us at Gateway High School's annual fundraiser and speaking event, Matters of the Mind, which will feature Frances Dinkelspiel, author of "Towers of Gold", and Warren Hellman, well-known San Francisco financier, philanthropist and blue grass aficionado. They will share the stage in conversation about their common ancestor Isaias Hellman and his role in the rise of California. The luncheon takes place on Tuesday, October 12, at Gateway High School, 1430 Scott Street at Geary Boulevard in San Francisco. A reception begins at 11:30a.m, followed by lunch at noon then a conversation with the authors and booksigning.

Matters of the Mind, is now in its 8th year. This year's speakers join a distinguished group of past speaker/authors including Dr. Mel Levine, Tony Kushner, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Michael Lewis, Tobias Wolff, David Sheff and Firoozeh Dumas.

Tickets are $200 each or $2000 for a table of 10. Lunch will be provided by Left Coast Catering, a sustainable food catering company. Free parking is available at Gateway High School.
