When the band stops playing, these musicians get to work on their solo projects; the artists showcased here have all performed, and in most cases continue to perform, as bandmembers and/or bandleaders with a dazzling array of collaborative projects, including Yohimbe Bros, Tall Firs, Burnt Sugar, David S. Ware, Moisturizer, Chin Chin and Antipop Consortium, to name just a few. This series presents their solo works in which each has crafted an unconventional approach to songwriting, utilizing drums, horns and synthesizers as the primary accompaniment -- to themselves.
