June 16, Reyna Von Vett and Kenny Moten, with Jeff Jenkins on the Piano, open “Martinis and Misbehaving” filled with fun cocktail classics and sultry jazz standards like “Makin’ Whoopee,” “Let’s Do It,” “Fever,” “Lush Life” and “Mean To Me.” “Martinis and Misbehaving” runs Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Burlesque Cabaret at the New Denver Civic Theatre, 721 Santa Fe Drive through August 25. Martinis and Misbehaving: Take one part Jessica Rabbit and one part Sammy Davis Jr. Add a dash of Rosemary Clooney, stir, and top it all of with a twist of Nat King Cole. Add the natural fun and naughtiness of Kenny and Reyna with the piano stylings of Jeff Jenkins, the best jazz pianist in Denver, and you will have a Jazz Musical Cabaret that will really hit the spot.

Reyna Von Vett’s Martinis and Misbehaving: a Celebration of the American Songbook has run in many of Las Vegas’ most prestigious hotels. She is an accomplished singer and actress who performed for more than one million guests over three years as Tanya in Mamma Mia! at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Von Vett opened Leadville or BUST! at the Black Box Cabaret in March and that show continues on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m.. She performed the role of Kaye in The Taffetas at the Denver Center for Performing Arts and led the cast of Swing! at the Colorado Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Reyna was honored to sing at the 2001 Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C.

Kenny Moten is delighted to be performing at the Black Box Burlesque with Ms. Von Vett after their critically acclaimed run of "Swing" at the Candlelight Playhouse. Kenny performed with his jazz trio at Manhattan's Duplex Cabaret Theater, Birdland, and Metropolitan Room. His Kinda Blue Jazz Trio has been seen all across the country from Los Angeles to Washington D.C., but he is thrilled to call Denver home again. Some of his regional theater credits include: The Leading Player in Pippin, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Andre in Ain't Misbehavin, Berger in Hair, and Benny in Rent.

Jeff Jenkins has released four CD’s in the last 15 years. The most recent on Capri Records entitled “Cique”, is an eclectic exciting blend of jazz and funk. He has appeared with many jazz greats in that amount of time as well, including: Freddie Hubbard, Eddie Harris, Clark Terry, Dakota Staton, Frank Morgan, Marlena Shaw, David Fathead Newman, Teddy Edwards, the Count Basie Orchestra, The New York Voices, Bobby Hutcherson, Nelson Rangell, Renee Marie, John Abercrombie, and Richie Cole. When not playing the piano, Jeff is busy mixing and producing in his recording studio Mile High Music (MHMrecording.com).
