Hope St, Liverpool, L1 9BP
Liverpool, England

For his most unique concert to date and the grand finale of his tour, Marti Pellow and a team of leading musicians have imaginatively re-orchestrated some of musical theatre’s best loved classics, along with some familiar favourites, for one special performance with the world-class Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra: 'An Evening of Hope'.

The concert features songs which have inspired and transfixed audiences all over the world and engender for Pellow one of the driving emotions of his music, theatre and life – “hope”. His new album Hope was out on 18 March and both the concert and the album are dedicated to Hope Kenwright (1918-2012), of whom Pellow said “When I first met her I knew I was meeting someone very special, the clue was in her name - Hope”. The orchestra will be conducted by Fiachra Trench, one of Ireland’s top composers and arrangers, who has collaborated with musicians including WET WET WET, Elvis Costello and Sinéad O’Connor, as well as film composing legends including Hans Zimmer.

A Brit and Ivor Novello Award winner, Pellow achieved huge success with WET WET WET, one of the most successful bands in UK pop – the group hold the record for the longest No. 1 in UK chart history – and is now achieving a highly successful career as both a solo artist, with an astonishing song writing partnership with lyricist and pop legend Chris Difford of Squeeze, and as one of the world’s leading musical theatre stars, with starring roles in musical theatre including Chess, Blood Brothers, Chicago and War Of The Worlds.
