We are proud to offer a great opportunity to our members to meet and talk with Markos Moulitsas, founder of the Daily Kos, progressive leader, and co-author of the brand spanking new "Crashing the Gate: Netroots, Grassroots, and the Rise of People Power." The book will be released March 27, but we're hosting a reception for Markos on Monday, March 9, at Cuba Libre, 409 Colorado, Austin, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Markos and his co-author, Jerome Armstrong, have provided a powerful new vision for progressive politics. They've diagnosed some of the ills we've faced (in some cases, ills we still haven't overcome). But more importantly, Markos and Jerome, as they have done through the nation's most powerful and popular political blogs, they help show us what to do right.

DriveDemocracy is thrilled to get the chance to offer our members the chance to meet and talk with Markos. The event is being co-sponsored by the Texas Progress Council, a new progressive research and message organization, and by People for the American Way -- Texas. There's no cover charge. It's not a fundraiser. It's an event we're doing for you. We hope to see you there.
