MARK GROWDEN'S "SAINT JUDAS" ALBUM RELEASE PARTY March 16, 2010

Release party at Hotel Cafe in LA for Mark Growden's new album, Saint Judas, 13 tracks of Americana noir. Growden's soulful music reinterprets older, pre-rock forms such as blues, jazz, cabaret, gypsy, and folk with a contemporary edge. On the album, Growden plays accordion, baritone sax, banjo, and handlebars, but his haunting vocals are center stage. He is compared to songwriting icons Nick Cave and Tom Waits. Additionally, he has been likened to wordsmith Leonard Cohen who he covers with I'm Your Man.
