Maritta Tapanainen, From There to Here: Collage 1992-2007 April 21, 2007

Maritta Tapanainen’s solo show, “From There To Here: Collage 1992-2007”, surveys her intricate collage work of the past 15 years. The 26 works in the exhibition trace the evolution of Tapanainen’s delicately and precision-cut paper on paper works from the early 1990s, which incorporate larger abstract imagery on small fields, to her most recent works which appear as microscopic examinations of a complex protoplasmic and mechanical world. The opening reception for the artist will be Saturday, April 21st from 6-8pm.
