Marie Ponsot alights at Perch August 8, 2006

Native New Yorker and literary light Marie Ponsot is the author of numerous books of poetry, including Springing (Knopf, 2002); The Bird Catcher (Knopf, 1998), winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and a finalist for the 1999 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize; The Green Dark (Knopf, 1988); Admit Impediment (Knopf, 1981); and True Minds (City Lights, 1957).

All monies raised will go to 826NYC, a Brooklyn nonprofit that offers free writing workshops to students between 6 and 18.
