Mardi Gras Benefit Party February 24, 2006

A Mardi Gras party to benefit New Orleans musicians, featuring a number of local acts, including Dead Blonde Girlfriend, an energetic and smart band fronted by the anti-folk survivor Joie Blaney, the Domestics, a Brooklyn pop-punk outfit led by Alina Moscovitz, and the Motel Creeps, a pasty-faced but stylish quartet with an interest in the sounds of Echo & the Bunnymen. A few out-of-town guests, including former members of the Afghan Whigs, are also expected.
