March for Peace on the Anniversary of the Iraq War March 19, 2009

This is the 6th anniversary of the war in Iraq. The theme is plumbers: "Don't plunge us further into war in Afghanistan!" "Stop throwing money down the drain!" Wear plumber's clothing and carry a plunger or pipe wrench! Bring signs appropriate to the theme!

Following the march, there will be an awesome program on Afghanistan at congregation Beth David, beginning at 7PM. We will have video from Democracy Now, two women students who are from Afghanistan, and Andrea Brown will also share her slides and experiences living and teaching in Afghanistan.
