Virago Theatre Company presents the WORLD PREMIERE of Dan Brodnitz's and Jeff Green's "MANKIND'S LAST HOPE" - 3 episodes of a futuristic situation comedy recorded live before a theatre audience. Directed by Robert Lundy-Paine. Most enjoyed by ages 10 and over. Join Virago Theatre Company for this unique theatrical experience!

"Mankind's Last Hope" is a post-apocalyptic workplace comedy set 50 years in the future, amid the burnt-out remains of St. Louis, Missouri. Think "Office Space" meets "The Matrix" across the street from "The World of Sid and Marty Krofft."

The year is 2055. Humanity has been conquered ("restructured") by "The Horde" -- a species of insectoid aliens. The result is Earth Industries, a planet-wide consortium dedicated to providing the galaxy with the three things earthlings do best: whittling; making stretchy things, like rubber bands; and creating inspirational cards and posters.

"Mankind's Last Hope" follows the adventures of a crew of mismatched inspirational card and poster makers working in Sector 7G under the supervision of a high-strung Horde middle manager named Jiggy.
