Magik Markers started in Budapest Hungary in 1999. Elisa Ambrogio told Peter Nolan that she was a Smith college student who would one day write the great American novel. Pete was sold, so he uprooted from Michigan and began making noise music in the basement of Elisa’s grandparents home in Hartford CT... One day Elisa‘s best friend Leah joined in... and soon Elisa did too... After a short time they became famous in their region... so they took the show on the road... playing from the east coast to the west over the years they have gained the love of the good people.. and the hatred of the stupid... They have been honored to play many shows with Sonic Youth... at the incredible Kraak festival in Hasselt Belgium... and are honored once again to play All Tomorrow’s Parties in England.
