Madison Halloween Kick-Off Party - Null Device, Gothsicles, Black Clouds, DJ Siberia October 25, 2006

Dane101.com kicks off Madison's Halloween weekend on October 25 with a big 'ol costume party at the High Noon Saloon. We've lined up an interesting roster mixing up dark hip-hop beats along with some of the areas best synth. Null Device, Gothsicles, Black Clouds, and Cervello Electronico (from NYC) will be providing the live action and spinstress DJ Siberia will be closing out the night mixing up the best in electro, IDM, Industrial/Goth, Synth, and Retro music. Spookiness starts at 9 p.m.

Null Device: Null Device is a little of everything: electronica with none of the soulless superstar DJ baggage, world music without the new-age hippies, synthpop without the ridiculous 80's haircuts, electro-rock without the machismo posturing. Meaty synthesizers, big beats, soulful vocals, guitars, the occasional unusual ethnic instrument…what's not to love?

Black Clouds: Dark, politically-charged and edgy, Black Clouds is a hip hop concept project addressing the potentially destructive nature of organized religion. Fronted by rapper MC Starr and produced by multi-instrumentalist/ vocalist/ beatmaker Memory, this will be Black Clouds' debut performance as a group. Local favorite and frequent collaborator El Guante will join them on stage.

Cervello Electronico: >From NYC Cervello Electonico's music is "found a distinct yet exploratory sound mixing hard beats and harsh ear-piercing noises with sedated soundscapes and familiar electro style blips and bleeps."

The Gothsicles: Their new album NESferatu is described as "fist-pumping, video-game inspired stompfests that will bring out the geek in everyone and compliment their massive stage shows perfectly...The Gothsicles brand of oddball EBM throws craze like an entire gaming convention on truckstop speed-- fun, loud, and endlessly entertaining."
