FOURTH ANNUAL ALTERNATIVE DESIGN EVENT
Celebrating its fourth anniversary, Come Up To My Room is an annual alternative design exhibition housed in the historic 118-year-old Gladstone Hotel. Innovative, cutting-edge designers/artists are invited to transform all 12 of the Gladstone's second floor rooms into imaginative — and sometimes strictly aesthetic — site-specific installations. The exhibition showcases the work of practitioners and emerging designers who approach design with radical personal vision and has become a home base for designers/artists whose work falls outside of traditional practice.

INSTALLATIONS:

• MAGIC PONY - Art gallery, shop and studio space located in Toronto, Canada. Magic Pony collaborates with multi- disciplinary artists to create unique exhibits and products. Designer toys, clothing, printed matter, plush and household items are showcased alongside more traditional forms of artwork giving a unique perspective into the artists' complete body of work. – www.magicpony.com

• SUANNE McGREGOR - Surface designer who specializes in interiors, props and set design. Suanne was also the Project Manager for the Artist Designed Hotel Rooms at the Gladstone.

• PATRICIA SCHRAVEN – Furniture design/builder from Buffalo NY

• STUDIO EXIT: Sharif Khan, Robert Eland, Patryk Ilendo, Chris Buehrle, and Nicholas Waissbluth – Collective specializing in installation based projects www.studioexit.ca
